What should I wear for a Tumpak sewu Tour?

You should bring a waterproof bag or plastic, a change of clothes in case you get wet, a towel, and a camera. Don't forget to bring snacks and water. Your shoes will likely get wet, but you can also rent plastic shoes at Tumpak Sewu.

Are Meals included in the trip?

No, Meals are not included. You can bring your own snacks/food or purchase them along the way.

What should I wear for a Bromo and Ijen Tour?

The average temperature in Bromo and ijen are varies depending on the season and time of day. Generally, the temperature ranges from 10°C to 15°C during the day and can drop to 3°C to 9°C at night. During the dry season (May to September), temperatures can reach up to 20°C during the day and drop to around 5°C to 10°C at night. In the wet season (October to April), temperatures are slightly cooler.It’s always a good idea to bring warm clothing. There is also jacket rental in Bromo and Ijen area.

Is a health certificate required for the Ijen hike?

Yes, a health certificate is required to hike Kawah Ijen. This new regulation, applied from January 5th, 2024, All visitors must provide a valid health certificate to ensure they are physically and mentally fit for the hike. We will manage your health certificate. No worries !!!

Day 01 :

MALANG - TUMPAK SEWU WATERFALLS - MALANG

We start early, picking you up between 5:00 - 5:30 AM, and head to Pronojiwo in Lumajang. You'll see the beautiful Tumpak Sewu Waterfall and explore other amazing spots, Goa Tetes Waterfall. We'll return to Malang around 3:00 PM, but we're flexible and can adjust the time if needed. Enjoy a day full of stunning views of Tumpak sewu.
After arriving in Malang, check in to your dormitory room and take some time to relax before your adventure begins.

Day 02 :

MALANG - JEEP BROMO TOUR - ACCOMMODATION IN IJEN

Start your adventure at midnight with a pick-up from Malang city. The jeep will take you to Kingkong view point to enjoy sunrise. Enjoy the beautiful colors in the sky while having coffee and snacks.

After sunrise, you'll drive through the sea of sand to Mount Bromo. The Jeep will stop near Luhur Poten temple, and you'll hike for 45 minutes to the edge of Mount Bromo's crater. You'll see the smoking volcano and the amazing views.

After exploring Mount Bromo, the Jeep will take you to Cemara Lawang for breakfast. Then, you'll travel in a shared minivan to your accommodation in Banyuwangi. Rest and relax before your journey to Ijen crater.

Day 03 :

VILLAGE NEAR IJEN - HIKING IJEN - FERRY PORT TO BALI

We start our trip at midnight, leaving at 00:00 AM for Paltuding. After a half and hour drive, we meet our local guide and enjoy a coffee break before starting our hike up Mt. Ijen. The hike is tough but worth it. As we climb, you’ll see a unique type of mountain found in only a few places in the world. At the top, you’ll see the beautiful Ijen Crater Lake with its bright blue water and dramatic volcanic surroundings. You’ll also see sulfur miners working, which adds a human touch to the natural beauty.

After hiking back down, we’ll rest and have breakfast in Paltuding. Finally, we’ll go to Ketapang harbor to catch the ferry to Bali, ending our amazing two-day adventure. The tour finishes around 10:00 to 11:00 AM, and the ferry ticket is included.

07:30 – 08:45: Begin Trekking: Start a challenging trek to the waterfall, taking in the beautiful scenery along the way.
08:45 – 12:00: Reach the Waterfall: Arrive at Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Take your time to admire its beauty from different viewpoints.
12:00 – 13:00: Return to Tumpak Sewu Village: Rest after your morning adventure and have lunch at a nearby warung.
13:00 – 15:00: Drive Back to Malang: Start your journey back to Malang, enjoying the scenic countryside during the ride.

Day 2: Bromo Midnight tour – Accommodation near Mt. Ijen
00:00 – 00:30: Pick-up from accommodations in Malang City. The driver may arrive slightly later due to traffic or the pick-up sequence because participants will be collected from several locations.
00:30 – 03:00: Drive to Kingkong View point.
03:45 – 04:00: Enjoy a warming cup of coffee or tea and a local snack. Prepare for the sunrise
04:00 – 06:00: Enjoy the beautiful sunrise and take in the panoramic views.. The weather conditions determine the scenery, so be prepared for a breathtaking view.
06:00 – 06:30: Meet your Jeep driver and continue the tour to the Sea of Sand.
Cross the volcanic black Sea of Sand in the caldera to get near Mount Bromo.
06:30 – 08:30: Hike to the top of the active volcano, Mount Bromo (approximately 45 minutes). Take your time to experience the unique landscape.
08:30 – 09:00: Return to the Jeep and heading to Cemara Lawang.
09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast
10:00 – 16:00: Drive to the accommodation near Ijen with stops for lunch
17:00 – Check-in at your accommodation

Day 3: Hiking Mt. Ijen – Ketapang ferry port to Bali
00:00 – 02:00: Early morning wake-up call and drive to Paltuding (Ijen Crater parking area)
02:00 – 02.30: coffee break and prepare the hike to Ijen Crater.
02.30 – 05:30: Enjoy the summit of Kawah Ijen.
05:30 – 06:00: Explore the crater and surrounding area.
06:00 – 07:30: Return hike to Paltuding.
